In August 2025 we worked through Santa Barbara, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Shasta, Solano and Sonoma Counties, leaving 59 California listings to review. We added a net 10 listings and feature a Krabi hotel pool.
For this August 2025 pool listings update, we kept rolling through California and got down to the last 59 listings in the state. Overall we added 24 listings and lost 14, a net gain of 10.
Listing checks
We began August by finishing our review of the listings in Santa Barbara County, California. We then worked through Santa Clara County, Santa Cruz County, Shasta County, Solano County and Sonoma County.
At the end of the month we were in Stanislaus County, with only 59 California listings left to check. Those are in Stanislaus, Tulare, Tuolumne, Ventura and Yolo Counties.
When we finish California, we plan to move on to Alaska and then Hawaii. If we can get those done, the next state for review will be Nevada, followed by Utah and Arizona.
Pools of the Month
For August we chose two Pools of the Month. The first is the Varana Krabi Hotel in Krabi, Thailand, a hotel marketed as a wellness and fitness resort that has installed a 50-meter pool. Read why we chose it.

The second is The Butterfly, a 50-meter pool about 1.3 meters deep in a striking enclosure inside a condominium building in Vancouver, British Columbia. It is not accessible to most swimmers, so it has no listing in the directory, but we thought it worth a mention.
